About this Webinar

About Webinar

Believe it or not, your employee handbook can be one of your most valuable tools for communicating with your employees. A properly written Employee Handbook lets employees know what you expect of them and what they can expect when they work for your organization. Apart from that, the mention of federal employment laws, company policies, and labor laws is, and employment at will is a must in the manual.

Yes, there are potential pitfalls. As an employer your employee handbook policies not only must comply with federal employment laws, labor laws, and state employment laws, (and in some cases, local laws) in each location where your employees work. But these laws seem to constantly change. How do you make sure your employee handbooks are up to date – particularly if you have employees in more than one state? To ensure your handbook remains accurate, establish a regular review process. Additionally, do consider employment at will, although, it’s a common principal, yet, there are a few conceptions. As an employer, consider incorporating feedback from employees and managers to keep the handbook relevant and practical. Regular updates and clear communication will help you maintain compliance and foster a positive work environment.
